How can I bring Spiritual experience into the often, mundane activities of everyday life? This is a question that continually shapes my work and I continually ask myself as an artist. As a child I was very involved in the Christian church. Biblical stories and rituals were of vital importance to me. I still hold them dear to my heart. As an artist I am interested in creating rituals that can exist outside of the church. I do this in hopes of creating a ritual that is more personal and intimate. I see this video as an act of faith. I am taking a common activity and transforming it into a Spiritual experience.
