With photography, I’m always inspired by the element of a moment held still in time, space and motion. This element is present for me in every photograph: from a scene set up for the camera, to documentary works and snapshots. I’m also inspired by what is captured by the lens, the photographer’s perspective and ultimately what it can arouse and stimulate for each viewer.

Flowers: mystery, birth, bloom, fertility, beauty, grace, fragility, falling petals, death, hope, life, vision and light. Within their ephemeral existence, flora can hold the cycle and mystery of life. In exploring flora, I found each flower, even within the same species, has its own persona, story and power; and at the same a collective energy and narrative intrinsic to all flora.

In this series, I was inspired by life forms of flora, their cycle of existence and my interaction with their essence and elements of being.
